West District RCMP is looking for clues into the disappearance of 54-year-old Odila Marie Daigle, from Royal Road, N.B.

Daigle was last seen leaving her residence on Route 620 on May 22 at around 7 p.m., when she headed out for a bike ride.

Police say she was heading north towards Stanley, riding a lime green bicycle.

West District RCMP Cpl. Marc Fortin says they’ve had to scale back on the ground search until they receive more tips from the public. More than 30 volunteers have been involved in the search.

“We’ve searched excessively the area, however we’ve been unable to find any clues,” Fortin said.

“We’re still following up on tips from the public so we’re asking if the public has any information on the whereabouts of Odila Marie Daigle to contact the RCMP, and we’ll follow up on every tip received.”

Police and the York Sunbury and Carleton County Ground Search and Rescue teams were searching the area near her home, including trails and wooded areas until Wednesday evening.

Odila’s husband, Jacques Daigle, says more clues are needed to locate his wife.

“There are no ideas right now —; it’s all questions,” Jacques said.

We don’t know what to think. So again, the key is finding a sign or some clue of to her whereabouts. Unless we find any sign, there’s no way of knowing where she could be.”

He says the main link to finding his wife is to find her bicycle.

Fortin says police don’t believe there is any risk to the public.

Anyone who may have seen Odila Marie Daigle is asked to contact the RCMP at 1-888-506-7267.
